EarthSpeak is interested in poetry, short stories, visual exhibits and essays that relate the artist's experience with the natural world. The subjects can be as varied as the importance of conservation, organic gardening and farming to confessional pieces dealing with man's alienation from the earth or personalized experiences of nature-based spirituality. EarthSpeak is equally open to imagistic verbal representations of the natural world, whether the description of a butterfly floating on the wind, the brutality of the hunt or the rhythmic passage of the seasons.
We do not shy away from pieces dealing with the darker, more primal aspects of the Earth.
